I am thankful that last year when the sprinklers burst here, that my unit was spared the destruction of the ensuing floods. I am thankful that when sprinklers or pipes or whatever burst in the next building that I was also removed from that disturbance. So, I should not complain about the special assessment I am now going to have to pay of $245 here when I am being laid off, to the HOA for the HOA to pay for upgrading the sprinklers or whatever in all the buildings so that the same thing doesn't eventually happen to me.
I am thankful that I got some free food from the closing of the restaurant owned by the people who are laying me off because the restaurant had to close.
I am thankful that I have a warm place to rest my body at the end of a busy day.
And I must now go make some money!

I sure wish I could stay up all night and write. I have to go to bed so I can function at work tomorrow by 10am.

Girl Put Your Records On
A while back, my brother sent me this song saying he thought of me when he heard it, and at the time I don't remember understanding why or maybe I just hadn't heard the song before and it didn't immediately click, but I heard it again on the radio just the other day and I really like the groove of it and can relate a bit now.
If I did this right the youtube video should be embedded here for you to watch.
I was awake at 4am this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so I read a little and feel like I am pretty much in a good place of acceptance with my life, but still wanting to work on a few personal things (growth things). Oh Lord, Re-create me!
I miss my kids. I'll be glad to have them back with me again next week. It has been over two weeks now since I had to be out of my home for a week I was supposed to have them and Lee kept them that week.
I guess I'll get around to rescheduling the doctor's appts I canceled because I didn't feel like I can afford them. Turns out that I made more this past year than the year before even though I felt like I was making less. Gotta figure that one out. Where does the money go?
"Get in mah belleee!" is where it goes for one thing. But since we stopped eating out so much that should help. And I have to set a new rule for myself that any gift I give to someone has to be in the $5 range even if it is just a five dollar bill. Or hope that people will understand if I don't get them a gift (for their birthday or Christmas or Ayyam-i-Ha, baby shower, wedding shower, etc). I will say, your gift is that I took myself to the doctor so I can stay healthy and be around to visit with you or help take care of you! Or my gift to you is I bought gas for my car so I can get to work to pay for my house so I don't have to come and live with you!
You get the idea.
I have a back spasm today and hopefully it will abate before I have to drive today. (and I didn't even do handstands!) Won't be going to clean anything today. That will have to wait till later I guess.
Probably won't go walking either (but mostly from the cold). Well, I guess that's all for now!
In the words of a friend of mine..."Have a groovy day!"

Busy week
OK, this past week I worked three different jobs for a total of 69 hours in addition to planning and hosting a devotional on Peace at the Bahai center, making Brazilian black bean soup and spinach salad to share with people who attended the devotions since I was expecting some Bahais from Spartanburg to be visiting. I drove them around Asheville and visited with them here at my house until about 3:30. Eddie (my cousin) and I heated up the leftover soup, adding rice to it and Eddie made cornbread to go with it also while I steamed some broccoli and we had an early dinner. I watched the movie Hotel Rwanda, which was very moving and inspiring, but difficult to watch in many places. My cousin Beth is on her way home from Chicago where she was visiting her sister and her dad and we chatted a little while on the phone about TV shows.
Once again, I enjoyed the music of Two Capps and a Beveridge before the devotions.
I got caught up on Sherry's blog about riding the bus (many posts by Ken). I had lunch with Sherry on Friday at O Naturals. That was nice.
OH, I just remembered I get to get a massage at a massage school on Wednesday using some of that extra money I made working all those extra hours! Yay! Really looking forward to that....
I'm on a journey to get more fit and possibly lose a little more weight with my sisters and mom who have joined Lighten Up for Life through Mission Hospitals. I hope I haven't gained weight this weekend with all of the eating I have been doing trying to satisfy a sweet tooth that I cannot satisfy if I am not eating sugar and chocolate. I'm eating plenty of other carbs.
I still have some settling in to do from being gone for the last 6 nights, but I just had to do a little relaxing (hence the movie) after the week I've had.
Now I need to just go to bed getting ready for another work week tomorrow.
Sorry if this is boring. I don't think I will announce this post since it is rather boring.
