Choose your own moral

Ok, I had a very interesting dream this morning. I will try to tell it the best way I can. I will even try to relate it as if it is a fable because it felt like one in my dream. Some details are added because it wouldn't make sense if I don't add them, so it won't be my dream exactly but it will be the main idea of the dream anyway.

Once there was a woman who had a gourd cup with a single nut in it. It happened that eventually she realized that some women had several nuts in their cup and she became discontent with her cup of only one nut.
She wondered why hers only had one when others had more. She began to feel a little angry but didn't say anything to anyone, till one day she met a wise man and complained to him about her situation. The wise man then said to her, what would happen if you ate this nut and gave your husband your empty cup? The woman thought that an interesting question. But she knew the answer and also figured out what the wise man was trying to say.

Now, this is where my dream ended and I had an epiphany and woke up immediately and wanted to share this dream. So, I want your comment to reflect what you think happened next or what the woman figured out or whatever. Make your own ending. But don't read the other comments first if you happen to not be the first to make one. Then after you have ended the story your way, read the others. It should be interesting. And in my next post I will say what I thought this meant.

Have fun!

Ending #1 - the woman ate the nut, gave her husband the cup, he filled it up with a bunch of nuts and them gave it back to her---thus proving that men are nuts!
Ending #2 - the woman ate the nut, it tasted terrible, so she filled her own cup up with chocolate chips.
Ending #3 - the woman ate the nut, then went to a tree to fill her own cup up with pecans. She then made pecan pie with all of her nuts. She shared the sweet pie with many others and started a trend in which all women started cooking with their nuts!

Perhaps she had been given the cup by her husband and after she ate it she gave it back to him for more? She was disappointed that he had only given her one while others got more (presumably from their husbands). Why did her husband have so little to offer?

You know how hard this is to not make a funny outcome up?? Although I think it's probably more esoteric.
Gee, okay I'll try.....the one nut was all that you needed. Some people need more, some less. You were upset because you didn't realize you are a one nut kind of gal albeit the wise man knew. Eating the nut?.....well you don't need the cup to hold it anymore and giving it away to your husband, allows him to fill his own cup. You're cupless and nutless.....you're FREE!!! The nut was your "powernut".

okay so was I close? ;-)

So she ate the nut, and the protein made her feel strong. The nut gave her the energy she needed to plant her whole field. And she gave her husband, who was sick, the gourd to drink water, slowly restoring his health one sip at a time. And as she watched her field grow and produce, and her husband nurse back to health, she looked at the other ladies, who sat at the edges of their barren fields, clutching tight their gourds with their few paltry nuts, and she felt bad for them. Because while they each still had several nuts in their gourds, the ladies were hungry and unhappy. After bringing her harvest in, she filled her gourd with fruit and nuts and took it to the ladies to share. The End.

"Now that I am not in a relationship I often think that people who are take it for granted, just like I did when I was in one. I sure hope that one thing I might have learned these last few years is not to take anything for granted. To notice what I have rather than what I do not, to appreciate what I have whatever it is and however meager it may seem at the time." Hey Sis, this quote is from an entry you made a while back, it to me explains your dream. Love ya bunches!
