The healthy future of the planet rests on the extent to which children's limbic brains develop and this can be achieved by the simple act of sleeping with your babies and forming an attachment to them and then spending lots of time with them in their formative years. This is my strong, but humble, or maybe not so humble, opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Today I had a prenatal visit with a new mama who just transferred to me from an obstetrician. She's 25 weeks gestation and said today was the first time a care provider had touched her. How sad is that? Later she was going down her list of questions for me and apologized for taking so much of my time. I told her we have as much time as she needs for her questions and her shoulders visibly relaxed with relief. If every care provider would take the time to touch and listen, we'd have a healthier society.
